Abstract
Abstract The balloon catheter comprises a shaft with an elongated dilatation balloon mounted in the vicinity of the distal end thereof. Armature for preventing expansion of balloon segments are mounted on shaft proximally of the balloon and include an armature enclosed in a sleeve moveable over a proximal portion of the balloon.
