Abstract
Abstract An implant which includes a porous matrix sheet made of a biopolymeric material which is biocompatible and bioresorbable. The porous matrix sheet has at least one portion spaced from and overlapping another portion of the matrix sheet, and has a density ranging from about 0.05 g/cm 3 to about 1.3 g/cm 3 , a pore size ranging from about 0.1 μm to about 1,500 μm, and a spacing between overlapping portions of the matrix sheet ranging from about 0.1 μm to about 2,000 μm.
