Claim 1
Independent Claim 142 words
A guiding introducer to be used in the right atrium of a human heart comprised of a first, second and third sections, wherein a first section is a generally elongated straight section contained in a generally flat plane, wherein merged with the distal end of said first section of said introducer is the second section which is an upwardly curved section curved out of said flat plane in a longitudinal curve from the distal end of the first section with a radius of about 0.5 cm. to about 2.5 cm. to form an arc of approximately 40 to 60 degrees, and wherein merged with the distal end of the second section lies in a plane which is the third section, wherein said third section is directed at an angle of approximately 40 to 60 degrees from the plane of the first section.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 142 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 61 words
The guiding introducer of claim 1 wherein the third section is comprised of two portions, a generally straight portion directed upward at an angle of approximately 40 to about 60 degrees from the plane of the first section and merged therewith is a longitudinally curved portion curved to the left of said first section wherein the third section is substantially coplanar.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
The guiding introducer of claim 2 wherein the generally straight portion of the third section is approximately 0.5 cm. to about 3.0 cm. in length.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 30 words
The guiding introducer of claim 2 wherein the longitudinally curved portion of the third section is longitudinally curved with a segment length of about 1.0 cm. to about 4.0 cm.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 20 words
The guiding introducer of claim 4 wherein both portions of the third section are within 15 degrees of being coplanar.
