Abstract

Abstract Disposable syringe apparatus is provided having a fluid cylinder and needle which is automatically retracted into a protective sleeve in the event of a release of the plunger or in the event the apparatus is accidentally dropped. The syringe apparatus is formed from an inexpensive transparent plastic and may be used for both extractions or injections as needed. A resilient member is positioned exteriorly of the fluid cylinder for ease in assembly and maintenance and acts as a means to attach the fluid cylinder to the protective sleeve.
