Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 31 words
A process for interlocking polymeric segments of poly(R-lactide) and poly (S-lactide) comprising intimately contacting said segments at a temperature below the melting temperature of the highest melting phase until interlocking occurs.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 31 words
A process for interlocking polymeric segments of poly(R-lactide) and poly (S-lactide) comprising intimately contacting said segments at a temperature below the melting temperature of the highest melting phase until interlocking occurs.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 32 words
The process of claim 1 wherein the segments are interlocked by mixing solid poly(R-lactide) and poly(S-lactide) and heating the combination at a temperature above the melting temperature of the lowest melting phase.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process of claim 1 wherein the segments are contacted by dissolving them in a solvent.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 31 words
The process of claim 3 wherein the poly(R-lactide) segments and poly (S-lactide) segments are dissolved in separate solvents and then the separate solutions are combined before the combined solvent is evaporated.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 18 words
The process of claim 4 wherein the combined solutions are allowed to gel before the solvent is evaporated.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 10 words
The process of claim 3 wherein the solvent is chloroform.
