Abstract
Abstract The level of alcohol content (methanol or ethanol) in blood is reduced by contacting the blood alcohol with the enzyme alcohol oxidase. Injection, extracorporeal shunt (dialysis), and oral administration are contemplated as routes of administration. Suitable compositions for reducing the blood alcohol level are also provided.
