Abstract ZEOLITIC ALUMINO-METALLO SILICATES ARE CRYSTALLIZED FROM AN AQUEOUS REACTION MIXTURE COMPRISING SOURCES OF NAIO, SIO2, AL2O3 AND R2/NO, R BEING METAL, SUCH AS MAGNESIUM, CALCIUM, YTTRIUM, THE RARE EARTHS, IRON, COBALT, AND NICKEL, AND N ITS VALENCE, INTRODUCED INT THE REACTION MIXTURE IN THE FORM OF A COMPLEX. SUITABLE COMPLEXING AGENTS INCLUDE TARTRATES, CITRATES, AND ETHYLENE DIAMINE TETRAACETRATES. NICLEATION CENTERS ARE ADDED TO THE REACTION MIXTURE TO INITIATE THE REACTION. THE PRODUCTS HAVE UTILITY AS COMPONENTS IN CATALYSTS AND AS ADSORBENTS.
