Abstract NOVEL HYDROCARBON POLYMER HAVING HYDROGEN SATURATED OLEFINIC BONDS IS PRODUCED BY HYDROGENATING THE POLYMER HAVING OLEFINICALLY UNSATURATED BONDS WITH HYDROGEN IS THE PRESENCE OF A CATALYST OBTAINED BY REACTING CHROMIUM CARBOXYLATE WITH AN ORGANOALUMINUM COMPOUND. SUCH NOVEL HYDROCARBON POLYMER CAN PROVIDE AN OIL-EXTENDED RUBBER COMPOSITION BY MIXING WITH A LAYER AMOUNT OF PROCESS OIL.
