Abstract AQUEOUS GEL COMPOSITIONS FOR USE IN PHARMACEUTICAL AND COSMETIC APPLICATIONS ARE PREPARED EMPLOYING POLYETHER POLYOLS AS GELLING AGENTS. THESE POLYETHER POLYOLS ARE PREPARED BY THE COPOLYMERIZATION OF LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT ALKYLENE OXIDES AND A-OLEFIN OXIDES CONTAINING FROM 14 TO 20 CARBON ATOMS WITH LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT ACTIVE HYDROGEN-CONTAINING COMPOUNDS.
