Abstract

Abstract Fertilizer compositions are prepared from a solution of a soluble alginate and soluble fertilizer chemicals and/or insoluble fertilizer chemicals in emulsion form. Such compositions rely on the gelling action of alginic acid; the gel when formed holds the fertilizer chemicals inside its mass and releases them slowly to the soil.
