Abstract A SUTURING MEMBER ASSOCIATED WITH AN IMPLANTABLE DEVICE, AS A HEART VALVE, FOR ACCOMMODATING SUTURES TO JOIN THE DEVICE TO LIVING TISSUES. THE SUTURING MEMBER HAS A POROUS FABRIC OVER SURROUNDING A SEMI-RIGID CORE OF PLASTIC MATERIAL. THE OUTER SURFACE OF THE PLASTIC MATERIAL IS BONDED TO THE INNER SURFACE OF THE FABRIC COVER.
