Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To permit storing of digital data in a video floppy in an ISO or IBM format by dividing a magnetic track into several blocks in the lengthwise direction to be able to record and reproduce the information for identifying several logic formats. CONSTITUTION:The track of the floppy disc are divided into quadrisections in the lengthwise direction, and an identification signal in the ISO or IBM format is provided for each of them. When an address signal and a wright signal are output from a host equipment 100, a block data is written in a memory 13 from a floppy 1 through an IE15, a command decoder 21, and a memory control circuit 33, and then checked. When a digital data is supplied to the memory 13 from the equipment 100 through an IF15, and a frame signal is supplied to a circuit 33, they are rewritten to new data, and one block of data is read in turn, and recorded in the floppy 1 through a read/wright circuit 2 and a head 11.
