Sheath device for endoscope
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To use an air feed tube until the last without being removed after it is once fitted by providing a sheath removably covered on the insertion tube of an endoscope, a sheath cover covering the sheath, and air feed tube connecting means provided on the sheath cover. CONSTITUTION:When an air feed tube 44 is connected to air feed tube connecting means 42 and 43 provided on a sheath cover 4 and air is fed into a sheath 2, the sheath 2 is expanded and the insertion tube 1 of an endoscope can be inserted into the sheath 2. When the sheath cover 4 is removed from the sheath 2, the air feed tube 44 is removed from the sheath 2 together with the sheath cover 4. The endoscope can be inspected without dragging the air feed tube 44 while the sheath 2 is covered on the insertion tube 1 of the endoscope. When inspection is completed, the sheath cover 4 is fitted to the sheath 2 again, air is fed into the sheath 2 to expand the sheath 2, and the insertion tube of the endoscope can be removed from the sheath 2. During these procedures the air feed tube 44 may be kept connected to air feed tube connecting means 42 and 43, and it is not required to be removed to the last.
