Abstract 376,937. Rubber cushions &c. IOCO RUBBER & WATERPROOFING CO., Ltd. and KIRKWOOD, J., Netherton Works, Anniesland, Glasgow. June 26, 1931, No. 18580. [Class 70.] A rubber cushion mattress or the like comprises an upper member 9 and a lower member 10 between which are arranged a number of pairs of resilient supporting elements of hemispherical, cup or similar shape, whereby they may be readily compressed, as shown in Fig. 9. The resilient supporting elements may be constituted by coacting hemispheres or similarly shaped bodies on the upper and lower members or they may, as shown in Fig. 8, be formed in one piece interposed between the two members. When formed separately, registering parts may be provided to prevent lateral displacement. The supporting elements may be formed with air pockets, Fig. 6, or of hollow cup shape and may be made of sponge rubber.
