Abstract 290,364. Carpmael, W., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). Feb. 12, 19-27. Fungicides.-Seed grain is rendered immune from attack by blight &c. by the application of a fungicidal or bactericidal substance which has been brought into aqueous solution with the aid of an acid amide such as formamide, acetamide, urea, or urethane. As examples, chloro-m-cresol and urethane in one case and nitro-phenol-mercury and formamide in another case are used.
