Abstract
Abstract 2162. Mills, H. Jan. 29. Hinges.-Alubricatorforthe wheels of cycles, motorvehicles, &c. consists of an oil cup A, Fig. 1, provided with a hinged lid B having a tongue b<1> bent through a hole a' in the wall of the cup. A square stud C secured to the underside of the lid engages the U-shaped spring E to hold the lid open and closed. Fig. 9 shows a modification in which the stud is cranked at c<3> in order to form the hinge. The spring E instead of being U-shaped may have a split projection socketing in the oil passage a<2>.
