Abstract 229. Hurn, E. Jan. 5. Screw pumps.-Hot or cold water is circulated through pipes by means of an external or internal screw arranged in one of the pipes. Fig. 1 shows an external and Fig. 2 an internal screw arranged as described. The screw is provided with a pulley driven by motor, gas-engine, or steam power.
