Venous catheter
Abstract
Vascular catheter for cannulation of arterial or venous vessels, e.g. in the femoral area or the vena cava and / or the right auricle, consisting of a tube (1) with hole-like blood passage openings (3) at its front end (2 that can be inserted into the vessel or the atrium) ) (Insertion end), which hose (1) with its other open end (4) can be connected directly or indirectly to another line or device. According to the invention, a piston-like closing body (6) can be moved back and forth in the hose longitudinal direction in the hose (1) in such a way that it covers at least some of the blood passage openings (3) in one position in the hose (1) and thus closes them and in other positions these openings (3) releases. The closing body (6) is expediently designed such that in its closed position it covers all blood passage openings (3) in the insertion end (2) of the catheter tube (1).
