Abstract

Abstract A dental fixing implant for fixing to a maxilla (2) has two bodies (1,4) joined together, one (1) of which is provided with an external threading (3) to be screwed into the maxilla and a central axial hole into which one end of the other body (4) bearing a dental prosthesis (8) is introduced. A seal (5) is provided in the body (1), the body (4) being driven into the body (1) so that ridges (6) are moved past and co-operate with the seal to provide a degree of axial movement as in a natural tooth. A further seal (2) is provided between opposed surfaces of the body (1) and prosthesis (8) to provide a force damping effect. Notches (9) are provided to facilitate removal of the implant if necessary.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim 64 words
improved fixed dental implant of the type fixed to the maxilla, characterised in that it comprises the joining of two bodies, one of which is provided with an external threading to be threaded to the maxilla and it has a cental axial hole through which one end of the other body bearing the dental prosthesis is introduced, both bodies being fixed together under pressure.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 64 words
improved fixed dental implant of the type fixed to the maxilla, characterised in that it comprises the joining of two bodies, one of which is provided with an external threading to be threaded to the maxilla and it has a cental axial hole through which one end of the other body bearing the dental prosthesis is introduced, both bodies being fixed together under pressure.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 75 words
Improved fixed dental implant according to claim 1, wherein the axial central hole of the threaded body is made according to two diameters, the outside being larger and provided at the zone close to the smaller diameter with an annular groove; this threaded body is . also provided with another groove on its free face where an 0-ring seal is disposed, as well as four peripheral recesses at this end according to two orthogonal diameters.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 84 words
Improved fixed dental implant according to claims 1 and 2, wherein the end of the body bearing the dental prosthesis is embedded therein by means of two annular recesses, while its cylindrical emerging end has a stepped recess in accordance with the inside diameters of the threaded body, as well as an annular recess disposed at the end having a smaller diameter and close to the stepping where an 0-ring seal, partially inserted in the annular groove corresponding to the threaded body, is placed.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 111 words
Improved fixed dental implant according to claim 1, wherein the body fixed to the maxilla is axially provided with a hole continuing into another threaded bole having a smaller diameter but not protruding outwards, two annular recesses, one close to the inner end of the hole having a larger diameter and the other at its mouth; the inner end of this body has an outer rounding off and its outer mouth has a conocity; two 0-ring seals placed in said annular recesses which, in turn, fit in the corresponding complementary annular recesses of the body joined to the dental prosthesis, upon exerting an insertion pressure of one body in the other.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 53 words
Improved fixed dental implant according to the preceding claims, charcterised in that it also comprises at least one slit at the outer end of the cy- lindircal hole of the body fixed to the maxilla, in which the corresponding radial recess of the other part fits, to prevent the relative turn between both.
