Fluid applicator for liquid cosmetics - has cap with impregnated absorbent material inside preventing drying out of applicator

Abstract

Abstract The applicator for liquid cosmetics has an applicator point (5) which is attached to the liquid supply container and when not in use can be covered by a sealing cap (3') which contains a chamber (11') filled with an absorbent material (12'). When the cap is set in place the inside of the chamber is connected via at least one small aperture to the surrounding area (24) of the applicator point (5). Since the absorbent material is impregnated with a slow vaporising substance the applicator point is prevented from drying out, and thus lasts for a much longer ime. The absorbent material can be impregnated with the solvent present in the applicator fluid.
