Reversing installation for materials moved on conveyors - consists of lifting device with controlled and connected angular rotation

Abstract

Abstract The reversing installation is for items of material being moved on conveyor bands or chains. It consists of a lifting device (10) capable of being moved transverse to the material conveyor system (A) and having an bearing providing angular rotation around the centre axle (11). The lifting device is positioned between two successive conveyor chains and is fitted with a control installation which produces angular rotation during the lifting movements. The lifting device has lifting rod the head of which comes into contact with the item of material whilst the end of the rod opposite to the head is coupled to the lifting cylinder installation and remains turnable.
