Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a surgical instrument (1) for inserting intervertebral implants (2) into the intervertebral area (14) between adjacent vertebral bodies (15). The aim of the invention is to make insertion of said intervertebral implant (2) easier even when access is difficult. To this end, the surgical instrument (1) is provided with two opposite guide elements (5) which are respectively guided towards the other guide element (5). Said guide elements (5) form a guideway between themselves. An intervertebral implant (2) can be pushed into the side of the intervertebral area (14) along the guideway.
