Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a video surgery instrument intended to retract the viscera masking the operation site. Said instrument is comprised of two parts, a body (1) which may be introduced by one of the operator trocars (8) used in videoscopy surgery, by means of a tool-holder (6), and a very thin handle (4) provided with a point (10) which punctures directly the wall, with respect to the organ to be retracted. The assembly is carried out under videoscopy control inside the organism of the patient by fixing the handle to the body of the instrument. The tool-holder is then released from the assembly and removed, thereby freeing the operator trocar. The retractor is thus handled from the outside. The puncture orifice is hardly visible due to the fineness of the handle and the absence of trocar. A plurality of retractors are thus usable with very few aesthetic sequelae.
