Abstract
Abstract A compressing screw to be used for treating fractures of the neck of the femur comprises a rod (1), whose distal (2) and proximal (3) ends are provided with a thread of the same direction. The thread (4) of the distal end (2) is double-helical and its angle of pitch is larger and the height of its ridges is smaller than those of the thread (5) of the proximal part (3).
