Abstract Rigid air-cushion seals in surface action vessels comprising rigid flaps (3av, 3ar) retained against the hull by an air-cushion chamber (11av, 11ar) for correcting the trim of the vessel and continuously sealing the air cushion to the waves. The air-cushioned seals of the invention are intended in particular for high-performance surface action vessels.
