Endoscopic device for observation and treatment
Abstract
Abstract An endoscope for insertion into the human body comprises a cylindrical sheath (2) of synthetic material which serves as a catheter, extends between an external observation and control head (1) and an internal intervention tip (3), and is provided with a certain number of hollow longitudinal cylindrical conduits (17, 22, 33) designed to accommodate means for lighting (21), means for observation (14), and means for treatment (7). The sheath (2) is moulded by applying the synthetic material in paste form around longitudinal mandrels whose positions and diameters correspond to the future hollow conduits of the sheath and ultrafine optical lighting fibres.
