Abstract
Abstract A device for macro- and microsurgically joining vessel ends uses an annular sleeve (3) of which the outer surface forms a support surface for the turned up extremity (5) of a blood vessel (1) and for the enlarged extremity (6) of the other blood vessel (2). The ends of the vessels situated on the support surface are fixed by means of a staple (7). The annular sleeve (3) and staple (7) are comprised of a resorbable material.
