Valve used for the supply, the monitoring and taking of a medium contained in an implanted container
Abstract
For the supply, control or removal of a medium contained in an implanted container, the valve comprises a valve body (2), in which the flow channel (3) is formed by two blind holes opening out one inside the other at an angle. The first blind hole serves as an introduction channel (5) for an injection needle (15) and is provided towards the outside with a conical widening (4). In the second blind hole (6) is inserted a closure member (7) of particularly spherical shape, member which in the closed state of the valve projects into the introduction channel (5), and the part of which projects into a chamber (11) connected to the container is urged by an elastic element (9). Preferably, an O-ring seal serves as a valve seat (8) for the closure member (7) and is embedded in an annular groove in the second blind hole (6).
