Abstract Translated from English La fenetre (22) pour fibre optique est de forme conique et est pressee dans l'orifice d'extremite conique de la gaine (12) qui contient le guide a fibre optique (10) pour sceller la gaine. La deformation plastique de la gaine permet d'obtenir un scellement hermetique. L'extremite emboutie de la portion formant levre (36) maintient la fenetre en place. The fiber optic window (22) is conical in shape and is pressed into the conical end hole of the sheath (12) which contains the fiber optic guide (10) to seal the sheath. The plastic deformation of the sheath provides a hermetic seal. The stamped end of the lip portion (36) holds the window in place.
