Abstract
Abstract A process for the treatment of ventricular tachycardia in the left ventricle using a retrograde approach by use of ablation and/or mapping catheters guided by precurved guiding introducers. Also disclosed are predetermined shapes for the guiding introducers to be used for the treatment of ventricular tachycardia in the left ventricle using a retrograde approach.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
112 words
A precurved, cardiac chamber guiding introducer for use with an ablation catheter for the treatment of ventricular tachycardia in the left ventricle of the heart, comprising an elongate tube having a lumen extending from a proximal to a distal end, wherein the tube comprises first, second and third sections, wherein a portion of the tube is formed in a predetermined, curved shape that conforms to an anatomy of the left ventricle of the heart, wherein the second section is a curved section comprised of a generally flat curve with a radius of about 1.0 in. to about 2.0 in. and an arc of the curve from about 190 to about 230 degrees.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
