Abstract

Abstract An adaptor for a fiber optic connector of the type which utilizes a split sleeve to align ferrules from oppositely facing connectors. The sleeve has a longitudinal slit and the ferrules receive the optical fiber. A tubularly shaped elastic body is installed around the outer periphery of the split sleeve, the body applying a spring force to the periphery of the split sleeve.
