Claim 1
Independent Claim
40 words
An optical fiber conductor of glass type characterized in that the optical fiber conductor has a fiber-reinforcing layer which, at least in a desired region of the entire length thereof, is made of a charred material of an organic resin.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
40 words
An optical fiber conductor of glass type characterized in that the optical fiber conductor has a fiber-reinforcing layer which, at least in a desired region of the entire length thereof, is made of a charred material of an organic resin.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
37 words
An optical fiber conductor of glass type as defined in claim 1 wherein the charred material is formed by heating an organic resin at about 250° to about 400° C. for about 5 to about 200 minutes.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
59 words
An optical fiber conductor of glass type as defined in claim 1 wherein the fiber-reinforcing layer made of a charred material is about 2 to 50 μm in thickness, and is obtained by charring an organic resin layer in such an extent that the organic resin layer is reduced in thickness to about 90% or less of the original.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
26 words
An optical fiber conductor of glass type as defined in claim 1 wherein the optical fiber conductor is a single optical fiber of silica glass type.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
26 words
An optical fiber conductor of glass type as defined in claim 1 wherein the optical fiber conductor is a multiple optical fiber of silica glass type.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
27 words
An image scope having, as an image transmitter, a multiple optical fiber which has a fiber reinforcing layer made of a charred material of an organic resin.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
27 words
An image scope having, as an image transmitter, a multiple optical fiber which has a fiber reinforcing layer made of a charred material of an organic resin.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
55 words
An image scope as defined in claim 6 wherein the fiber-reinforcing layer made of a charred material is about 2 to 50 μm in thickness, and is obtained by charring an organic resin layer in such an extent that the organic resin layer is reduced in thickness to about 90% or less of the original.
