Abstract

Abstract The disclosed alloy with a shape memory effect and a pseudo-elasticity exhibits a thin-plate martensitic structure, which alloy is made by heating an alloy consisting of 32-34 wt. % of nickel, 3-6 wt. % of titanium, 10-15 wt. % of cobalt and the remainder of Fe to a temperature between 900° C. to 1,200° C. and effecting an aging treatment at a temperature between 500° C. and 800° C. so as to generate a thin-plate martensite.

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 4
Claim 1
Independent Claim 40 words
An Fe--Ni--Ti--Co alloy with a shape memory effect and a pseudo-elasticity consists of 32-34 wt. % of nickel, 3-6 wt. % of titanium, 10-15 wt. % of cobalt and the remainder of Fe, said alloy having a thin-plate martensitic structure.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 40 words
An Fe--Ni--Ti--Co alloy with a shape memory effect and a pseudo-elasticity consists of 32-34 wt. % of nickel, 3-6 wt. % of titanium, 10-15 wt. % of cobalt and the remainder of Fe, said alloy having a thin-plate martensitic structure.
Claim 3
Independent Claim 88 words
A method of producing an Fe--Ni--Ti--Co alloy, comprising steps of heating an alloy consisting of 32-34 wt. % of nickel, 3-6 wt. % of titanium, 10-15 wt. % of cobalt and the remainder of Fe to a temperature between 900° C. and 1,200° C. so as to effect a homogeneous solution treatment; and effecting an aging treatment at a temperature between 500° C. and 800° C. for less than 100 hours so as to generate a thin-plate martensite corresponding to a cooling operating or a stress applying operation.
