Abstract
Abstract Hydrophilic, water retentive synthetic wood pulp fibers are provided which are capable of forming low density fluff. The fibers comprise polyolefins and polyvinyl alcohol wherein the polyvinyl alcohol has, grafted thereto, hydrophilic polymer moieties.
