Abstract Compositions of matter suitable for the treatment of cancer comprise platinum co-ordination compounds having the general formula ##STR1## in which A is a straight-chain, branched chain or cyclic aliphatic amine, X and Y are halogen and the Z groups are halogen or hydroxy.
