Abstract
Abstract A tetrahydroisoquinoline compound of the formula: <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1 is alkyl of one to six carbon atoms, cycloalkyl of three to six carbon atoms, allyl or propargyl, R2 is hydrogen or alkyl of one to six carbon atoms, and R3 is hydrogen, alkyl of one to six carbon atoms or benzyl. Methods for preparing the compound (I) are disclosed. The compound (I) and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof are useful as a diagnostic or therapeutic agent for angiotensin-related hypertension.
