Abstract
Abstract Phagocytosis is enhanced or stimulated by injection of a mixture of a soluble hyaluronic acid salt and muramidase in amounts sufficient to achieve a blood level of each in the range of 10-15 μg/ml.

A composition for stimulating phagocytosis, said composition comprising a physiological saline solution containing muramidase an a soluble salt of hyaluronic acid, having a molecular weight of at least about 430,000, both in amounts sufficient so that when about 1-2 ml. thereof are subcutaneously or intramuscularly injected in a mammal the concentration of each in the blood system of said mammal is about 10-50 ug/ml.
