Abstract
Abstract A therapeutic chewing gum composition orally utilizable to maintain the minerals balance of human physiological fluids during strenuous activity comprising an insoluble gum base having bound therein from about 2 to about 6 percent by weight of sodium chloride and from about 0.1 to about 0.5 percent by weight of potassium chloride; wherein the relative weight ratio of sodium chloride to potassium chloride is at least about 3:1.
