Abstract
Abstract Thermally stable, rigid bisphenols of the formula ##STR1## WHERE R is ##STR2## or ##STR3## where R 2 is arylene or substituted arylene, and R 1 is hydrogen or acyl, Are used to prepare thermally stable, rigid, ordered polyesters of the formula ##STR4## where R 4 is arylene or substituted arylene, and n is at least about 10.
