Claim 1
Independent Claim 73 words
A method of inhibiting the complement system in a body fluid which comprises subjecting said body fluid to the action of an effective complement inhibiting amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR4## wherein x is 1 or 2; y is zero or 1; and A is hydrogen, alkali metal or alkaline earth, with the proviso that A is identical in the same compound and x is only 2 when y is zero.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 73 words
A method of inhibiting the complement system in a body fluid which comprises subjecting said body fluid to the action of an effective complement inhibiting amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR4## wherein x is 1 or 2; y is zero or 1; and A is hydrogen, alkali metal or alkaline earth, with the proviso that A is identical in the same compound and x is only 2 when y is zero.
Claim 3
Independent Claim 57 words
A method of inhibiting the complement system in a body fluid which comprises subjecting said body fluid to the action of an effective complement inhibiting amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR5## wherein x is 1 or 2; and y is zero or 1, with the proviso that x is only 2 when y is zero.
Claim 4
Independent Claim 57 words
A method of inhibiting the complement system in a body fluid which comprises subjecting said body fluid to the action of an effective complement inhibiting amount of a compound of the formula: ##STR5## wherein x is 1 or 2; and y is zero or 1, with the proviso that x is only 2 when y is zero.
