Abstract
Abstract A container with a screw cap having a compartment for holding a liquid or powdery material is disclosed. The compartment comprises a wall which engages with the inner side of the screwed sleeve of the container and a bottom section which is connected to the cap in such a manner that in opening the container the bottom section releases the contents of the compartment. The bottom section may be a disc which abuts against the lower edge of the wall of the compartment and which is connected to the cap.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 10
Claim 1
Independent Claim
90 words
A container having a screw threaded neck and a screw cap, said cap having a compartment therein for holding material, said compartment being defined by a separate annular wall in frictional contact with the inner surface of the screw-threaded neck and a bottom, means releasably connecting said bottom and the cap for pressing said bottom upwardly against the lower edge of the annular wall, said means being so constructed that said cap is rotatable with respect to the bottom and that upon unscrewing of said cap, said bottom is released.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
53 words
Container in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the wall of the compartment engages with the inner side of the screw neck by the fact that the wall has an edge or groove which respectively engages over an edge respectively or below an edge of the inner surface of the screw neck.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
45 words
Container in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the bottom comprises a disc, said disc abutting against the lower edge of the wall of the compartment, and said means releasably connecting the bottom and the cap may be broken when said cap is unscrewed.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
25 words
Container in accordance with claim 3, characterized in that the bottom has a screw-threaded joint with a shank, said shank being secured to the cap.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
75 words
Container in accordance with claim 4, characterized in that the shank is integral with a cover of the compartment, said shank having a rotatable snap-action contact with the cap and the cover and the cap have mutually cooperating cams, said cams in tightening the cap may slide over each other, however, in unscrewing the cap said cams are coupled with each other in such a way that the cover is taken along by the cap.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
36 words
Container in accordance with claim 4, characterized in that the pitch of the screw cap equals that of the screw joint between the bottom of the compartment and the shank being in connection with the cap.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
37 words
Container in accordance with claim 3, characterized in that the means releasably connecting the bottom and the cap comprises a shank, said shank being integral with the bottom and having a rotatable snap-action contact with the cap.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
25 words
A container according to claim 1, wherein: the cross-sectional area of the bottom is less than that defined by the inner surface of the neck.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
41 words
A container according to claim 1, wherein: the inner surface of said neck is circular in cross-section, said bottom comprises a disc, and the cross-sectional area of said bottom is less than that defined by the inner surface of the neck.
