Abstract
Abstract There is disclosed a carrier for biologically active compounds comprising a hydrophilic polymeric macroporous gel including a copolymer of a hydroxy alkyl ester of acrylic or methacrylic acid and a member selected from the group consisting of a cross-linking acrylate or methacrylate derived from the corresponding acid and a bi- or trifunctional alcohol and bismethacrylamide, bisacrylamide and divinylbenzene, the hydroxy alkyl ester further containing the reaction product thereof with BrCN.
