Abstract
Abstract The amine derivatives of acrylated epoxidized soybean oil, which is the reaction product of epoxidized soybean oil with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid are produced by the reaction of acrylated epoxidized soybean oil with an organic amine. They are useful alone, or in conjunction with a photosensitizer, and/or a pigment as inks and coatings. The compositions can be cured by radiation.

Acrylated epoxidized soybean oil amine compounds having in the molecule the group: ##EQU8## wherein X is hydrogen or methyl, R' taken singly is alkyl of 1 to 15 carbon atoms or phenyl, and the two R' groups taken together with the nitrogen atom attached thereto form a heterocyclic ring having from 5 to 6 ring atoms, said compound being the reaction product of: A. epoxidized soybean oil reacted with at least two moles of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid per mole thereof and B. from 5 to 40 mole percent, based on acrylyl groups of an organic amine of the formula R' 2 NH wherein R' is as defined above.
