Abstract
Abstract Thermoplastic elastomers having excellent physical properties which are retained at low temperatures are prepared from 4,4''methylenebis(phenyl isocyanate), polyethylene glycol (M.W. 600 - 3000) and an extender which is an aliphatic straight chain diol from 3 to 6 carbon atoms or a hydroxyalkylated aromatic compound of the formula WHERE A represents HOCH2-, HOCH2CH20-, and HOCH2CH2OCH2-. The proportion in which the reactants are employed is critical and must satisfy each of the following equations: D R A W I N G
