Abstract

Abstract A dual interlocked safety spring assembly for minimizing the dangers resulting from spring breakage, in which two or more springs operating primarily in parallel are interlocking along their length so that upon breakage of one of the two springs at a point, the broken spring will interlock with the intact spring and still contribute significantly to the magnitude of the remaining total spring force, and methods and machines for the manufacture of such springs.
