Abstract
Abstract Block copolymers of silicones with vinyl pyridine having the formula: WHERE A IS AT LEAST 25, B IS AT LEAST 10, C IS 1 OR MORE, AND R is selected from monovalent hydrocarbon radicals, y is a whole number that varies from 1 to 12 and Z is an organo-functional substituent compatible with the vinyl pyridine system, and where X is a radical selected from the class consisting of chlorine, fluorine, iodine and bromine. The materials are useful for the formation of permselective membranes and allow the solubilization of silicones in a polar solvent.
