Abstract
Abstract Adhesives or pastes prepared by dissolving or dispersing uniformly a pullulan ester and/or pullulan ether in water or in a mixture of water and acetone in an amount between 5 percent and 40 percent of the solvent are moisture-proof and have better water retention, stability and adhesiveness than conventional starch pastes or glue. They are also non-toxic and resistant to the growth of fungi.
