Abstract

Abstract A device for determining the presence of a constituent in a liquid comprising a carrier having secured to a part of one surface a mixture of particulate material which comprises (a) particulate material prepared by impregnating hydrophilic absorptive material with a solution of an indicator which changes color in the presence of a reaction product formed when the aforesaid constituent is contacted with a composition which reacts with the said constituent, and then drying, and (b) particulate material prepared by impregnating hydrophilic absorptive material with a solution comprising said composition and then drying.
