Abstract

Abstract Disclosed is a digital pickup for counting gear teeth and the like down to zero speed. A pair of magneto-resistors mounted on a permanent magnet sense the gear teeth. The magneto-resistors are connected in a bridge circuit and the bridge output triggers an integrated circuit switch incorporated in the pickup to produce a high voltage, low impedance digital output particularly suited for TTL logic.
