Abstract
Abstract The surface of a copper body which may, for example, be a coating, foil or wire, is provided with a zinc coating. The zinc coating is diffused into the copper surface to form an alloy surface zone which protects and preserves the properties of materials such as polymers and carbon that ordinarily degrade when contacted with copper.
